SEMA Distributor Company

SEMA Distributor Company

The SEMA Distributor Group (SDG) was launched in September 2011 to bring together distributor suppliers of the storage industry. Since its formation, the SDG continues to grow in numbers and strength.

SEMA Distributor Group Companies are recognised for the quality supply of their storage equipment and rack safety. The SDG are dedicated to raising industry quality standards.  The SEMA Distributor Group qualification indicates that the company is dedicated to the supply of quality storage equipment. Every SDG can prove that their project implementation meets and beats the SEMA QA standard by way of independent certification.

To become a member the company must demonstrate a high level of commitment to safety standards, and adhere to over 40 regulations, industry standards, Codes of Practice, and legislative requirements. Today, it is the only scheme in the UK that independently audits the credentials of resellers and distributors of storage equipment. The initiative was the first scheme of its type for the storage industry and all SDG companies now must be independently audited on no fewer than 31 quality measures every three years to retain their membership status.

This means that every single SEMA Distributor Company can prove that their products and services meet and beat the SEMA QA standard by way of independent certification.
