SEMA Approved Members - Advanced are recognised for supplying and installing high-quality storage equipment. As a vital part of SEMA, they benefit from access to Technical Guidance, current legislation, and industry training.

SEMA Approved Members - Advanced are product agnostic and collaborate with manufacturers from across the industry. That enables them to design storage equipment solutions that are bespoke to the needs of your business. Through SEMA, they have full support from SEMA Approved Manufacturer - Full Members and SEMA Associate Members, which enables them to have privileged access to technical departments for any racking system work.

Meeting the Highest Standards

There are two membership categories; SEMA Approved Member and SEMA Approved Member – Advanced. To become an Approved Member, a company commit to using SEIRS installers on their projects. They must also use a SEMA Approved Rack Inspector (SARI) for racking inspections.

As part of the membership criteria, an Approved Member must prove, through an independent assessment, that they meet the highest industry standards. They must also Through the Membership Standard Assessment (MAS) assessment, the supplier must demonstrate their credentials by adhering to over 40 regulations, industry standards, Codes of Practice, and legislative requirements.  SEMA Approved Members with the Advanced status can demonstrate they committed to meeting a higher SEMA criteria level.

The audit drives standards and measures the company’s ability to meet customer requirements and deliver quality service. It covers legal and regulatory compliance which checks policies, insurance, internal record keeping, and training as well as evaluates a SEMA Approved Member’s management system, and the control of non-conforming products and services and assesses the member’s Health and Safety controls. Lastly, it will review how the SEMA Approved Member -Advanced manages installers, their licenses, qualifications, training, and workmanship. 

The MAS covers five key areas: 

  • Meet SEMA’s standard 
  • Have the correct legal and insurance documentation in place 
  • Conform to Health and Safety requirements  
  • Aim to reduce their environmental impact  
  • Work towards the highest quality standards
