How to Become a SEMA Member
SEMA member groups interrelate to support logistic and warehouse storage providers every step of the way. We have diligently thought through our guidance from project specification, through design, manufacture, and distribution. We work with SEMA Approved Manufacturer - Full Members, SEMA Associate Members, SEMA Approved Members, and SEMA Approved Members - Advanced.
SEMA members work to relevant codes, and we independently audit them to check they meet our stringent Quality Assessment criteria. We also train racking installers and inspectors through the Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme (SEIRS) and SEMA Approved Rack Inspector (SARI) initiatives.
SEMA Approved Manufacturer - Full Members
Full SEMA membership is open to companies who are primary designers and manufacturers of storage equipment in the UK. They must also have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience. SEMA Approved Manufacturer - Full Members lead the industry in terms of the research and development of storage products.
Under due diligence, we seek to prove that SEMA member products are some of the very best on the market. Our members continuously engage in independent product design assessments. In doing so, SEMA is continually reviewing the technical processes required in the design of racking materials to substantiate its robust manufacturing Quality Assurance Scheme.
SEMA Associate Members
SEMA Associate Members support the work of our SEMA Approved Manufacturer - Full Members to provide supporting safety measures and systems in warehouses. Their systems are trusted by businesses worldwide. Their products include machine guarding, warehouse partitioning, and active safety measures.

Whether you need systems to enhance your racking or custom solutions, Associate Members have the expertise and dedication to meet your requirements. By investing in research and development, they ensure their products not only meet current needs but anticipate and address future challenges in the storage industry.
SEMA Approved Members
SEMA Approved Members are a unique group of like-minded companies. They are recognised for the quality supply and installation of their storage equipment and their dedication to raising industry standards.
SEMA Approved Membership is the only scheme in the UK that independently audits the competence of distribution and installation companies of storage equipment. This ensures excellence in process, design compliance, and delivering projects with the highest H&S standards. Depending on the audit results, companies are either awarded a SEMA Approved Member or SEMA Approved Member Advanced level.
