This one-day course is Part 1 of the SEIRS Diploma process and pays particular attention to Health & Safety issues both generic and industry specific that are likely to affect installers on sites while installing pallet racking storage equipment. It will also involve the practical use of safety harnesses.

At the end of the training successful delegates should have the basic skills needed when working within the storage industry.

The course provides information and knowledge of the safety procedures and legislation involved in the construction of pallet racking storage equipment to allow them to work safely on sites under guidance and supervision.

On successful completion of the course delegates are awarded a SEIRS Trainee card which is valid up to 6 months. To maintain the qualification and renew their SEIRS ID Card installers will need to successfully pass the SEIRS Diploma.

Who should attend this course?

The SEIRS Foundation Course is Part 1 of the SEIRS Diploma training programme. It is for installers new to the industry or existing installers who are not SEIRS qualified.

Course Pre-qualification

There are no pre-qualification requirements for this Part 1 course unless a SEIRS/CSCS card is required. In this case delegates will be required to pass the CITB Health Safety and Environment test which is conducted independently of SEIRS by the CITB at one of its test centres across the UK.

• Understand the main provisions of a range of relevant Health and Safety legislation and
  accepted good practice
• Have a full appreciation of the principal responsibilities for themselves and all other
  personnel
• Demonstrate the safe method of ascending and descending a pallet rack using fall arrest systems

Course Fees

These courses are delivered throughout the year at our dedicated training facility in Burntwood, Staffordshire. The cost per delegate is £250 plus vat (card is valid for 6 months).
