SEIRS Foundation – Part 1:

The Foundation course is the ‘trainee’ entry level for any installers new to the industry or experienced installers who are not SEIRS qualified. This one-day course is mainly classroom-based and pays particular attention to health and safety issues, both generic and industry-specific that are likely to affect installers on-site while installing racking.

A SEIRS Trainee card will be received after the completion of the course which is valid for six months. During this time, we expect the installers to head back out and, under the guidance of SEIRS installers, apply their learning in the workplace.

SEIRS Diploma – Part 2:

To complete their SEIRS training, installers must attend and pass the SEIRS Diploma level. This two-day course combines classroom-based learning and instruction on erecting and dismantling pallet racking according to SEMA guidelines. Working in small teams, delegates will be assessed on day two of the course on the erection and dismantling of pallet racking. A full SEIRS card will be received after the completion of the course which is now valid for 5 years.

SEIRS General Refresher

To maintain their credentials, installers with a full SEIRS card are required to attend a General Refresher training course every five years. The course will refresh the installers  knowledge and bring them up to date with the latest safety procedures and legislation.

Installers should complete this course before their SEIRS card expires.

SEIRS General Refresher Course available from 2027

SEIRS Supervisor

This course is for Site Supervisors who manage small to medium-sized installation teams. The course covers safety procedures and legislation involved in the construction of Pallet Racking to enable delegates to work safely on sites.

SEIRS Installation Manager

This course is for Site Managers and covers all relevant legislation and other aspects that affect safe working whilst installing pallet racking storage equipment. It highlights the need for risk assessments and method statements within the working environment, the implementation of necessary control measures, and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce.
