SEMA Approved Rack Inspector Qualification
"SARI is a professional qualification for personnel whose responsibilities include the expert inspection of storage equipment. The SARI course is intended to take candidates with significant and demonstrable experience of rack inspection and to upgrade those skills so that an expert annual inspection of storage equipment, including a written report, can be successfully completed. Before joining the course, candidates must have attended the SEMA one-day Rack Safety Awareness course, studied the documents in the pre-course reading list and be proficient in report writing, as well as being able to prepare a simple risk assessment and method statement.
The SARI qualification comprises an intensive three-day training course and successful completion of both a written examination and practical assessment, including a written inspection report. In addition, there are ‘continuous professional development’ requirements needed to ensure that the SARI’s skill levels are kept up to date.”
