The purpose of this document is to enable potential users of freestanding high bay or clad racks to appreciate the planning and design aspects which contribute to the successful specification of a system appropriate to their particular needs.

The design and use of sophisticated machinery associated with high bay racking, introduce factors into the specifying of such installations which if not identified early in the process can result in failure to achieve the desired utility, excessive damage and unnecessary costs.
